 This class is a six week course for dogs over 6 months of age. It’s main d
 esign is for the family dog. It is totally on leash. The class will focus 
 on behaviors owners want most\, such as coming when called\, polite greeti
 ngs\, walking on a loose leash and other basic commands.\nWe assume your d
 og has no training from the start\, so the emphasis is on the basic comman
 ds. Another focus throughout the class is getting your dog to learn to ign
 ore other dogs while on leash. We also work on exercises that will help yo
 u and your dog be better prepared when you are out and about on the trails
 . It’s also a good refresher class if you are interested in moving on to f
 ormal obedience\, rally obedience\, agility\, or other dog sports.\nAny do
 g that bites\, growls\, lunges\, or exhibits any behavior that the instruc
 tor feels creates an unsafe situation toward other dogs or humans will be 
 excused from class.
