Mendenhall River School
THIS IS FOR THE WORKING SPOTS - OPEN TO CKCOJ VOLUNTEERS THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT, 7/20/2025. ON MONDAY, 7/21/2025, IT WILL BE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC
A rare and amazing opportunity for Southeast Alaska nose work teams! This seminar will help handlers understand what they are conveying to their dog with their body language. The seminar can help the handler improve their communication with their dog. The Dog Driven Search philosophy will help handlers learn to be consistent rather than confusing. Handlers will learn how to help their dogs increase autonomy while eliminating stress and struggles.
The instructor is Dana Zinn, Instructor and Co-Author of the Dog Driven Search (https://zinndogtraining.com/new-page)
**Instructor highly recommends attending both days as information will build on previous day.
This is for handlers already practicing nosework but may be of interest to those wanting to just learn more about nosework.Bring a long leash and small tasty treats. A crate is recommended, but optional.
NOTE: We may change location to a closer venue if it becomes available. We will know more after the beginning of August.
Registration for working spots will open first to club members who have done the most volunteer hours including teaching a class and if it doesn’t fill then it will open later for remaining spots. All are welcome to audit the workshops.
