 Open to the public for $100.00 for 5 one-hour sessions.\nThis class introd
 uces the dog and handler to basic manners skills\, allowing dogs and handl
 ers to gain confidence and experience working together.&nbsp\; This Manner
 s class is for dogs who are past the puppy phase and ready for the ‘big ki
 d’ stuff.&nbsp\; CKCOJ periodically offers a Puppy Class more appropriate 
 for younger dogs.&nbsp\;\nThe class will address: loose-leash walking\, si
 t\, down\, stay\, and 'leave it' commands.&nbsp\; We will concentrate on t
 eaching our dogs to follow commands with greater distance and longer durat
 ion\, while staying focused and engaged.&nbsp\; The class includes learnin
 g basic obedience exercises such as: Healing\, Sit for Exam\, and Recall.&
 nbsp\; &nbsp\;\nAll exercises are performed on a six-foot leash.&nbsp\; Ha
 ndlers are permitted to talk to\, praise\, and give extra commands to thei
 r dogs during and between exercises.\nRequirements - 6-foot leash and plen
 ty of 'high value treats'.&nbsp\; Your dog's kibble may be expensive\, but
  it's not a high-value treat. Also\, bring a small mat or pad\, or towel f
 or your dog to sit on.&nbsp\; Water and a dish are encouraged.&nbsp\; &nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;\nPrerequisites: This class is not appropriate for reactive dogs
  and those with excessive barking.&nbsp\; Safety for everyone is important
  as we will be working in close proximity to other dogs and handlers.&nbsp
